TALIESIN® ELEMENTS

"TALIESIN®︎ ELEMENTS" in "Hommage to Frank Lloyd Wright™ 2019"

TALIESIN® ELEMENTS was presented in a tribute project to architect Frank Lloyd Wright that started in 2017.
Inspired by the squares found in Wright's architecture and decorations,
it is made of square ceramic panels molded with Brightorb.

Mold Parts 1

the mold for water cooled manifold

Casting molds produced by 3D-printed Brightorb, instead of sand/ceramics molds that were previously molded using wood or metal molds.
It facilitated prototype development and contributed to shortening the development time.

Sphere

Sphere test piece

This is a test piece of a sphere that takes advantage of Brightorb's ability to create spheres without distortion,
which has been difficult to do with conventional ceramics.
This was exhibited at the exhibition "Shape, Form, NEXT: The Future of Design Supported by Brightorb,
a Ceramic Material for 3D Printers" held at the AGC studio (currently closed) in December 2020.

Shippo

Test piece of ceramic plate

A test piece of ceramic plate with cloisonné patterns in an intersecting structure,
made without a mold since it is 3D printed.
Thanks to the 3D printing method the scale could be adjusted according to the design of the parts and the size of the installation site.

“opticalverse” in DESIGNART TOKYO 2021

The exhibition "opticalverse" by IMURA Kazuto was held at Luxury brand ginza store.
Brightorb was used to create molds for the molten glass. After a 3D scan of an actual meteorite,
a mold was designed and melted glass was cast into the mold.

The Nine Dragon Wall

Reproduction of decorations from the National Palace Museum, China

The National Palace Museum, located in Beijing, China.
One of the nine dragons on the lapislazuli wall opposite the imperial gate within the museum was reproduced by 3D printing from 3D data.
It was exhibited at the China Jingdezhen International Ceramics Exhibition in October 2021.

Three-dimensional test piece

The 3D modeled regular three-, four-, five-, and hexagonal shapes showed almost no shrinkage at any stage after 3D printing, impregnation,
or glaze treatment, making it possible to successfully create difficult shapes according to the data.
